The Far Out Trophy consists of a very tall and heavily ornamented silver vase (2022.03.050.A), with two handles, on a composite wood base (2022.03.050.B).
Chased ornament on the vase includes vegetal elements, flowers, leaves, and flowering ivies. A large engraved plaque on the front of the base gives the name of the award, and smaller plaques around the base give the names of the winners.
The engraved plaque on the front of the base has an enameled burgee and the text reads:
